Amber Portwood, one of the stars of Teen Mom OG, lost 20 pounds in two months. Not only is she thrilled with her new body, she’d also like to write a book highlighting some of her weight loss tips.
According to a report from OK!, despite her 20-pound weight loss, Amber Portwood wants to lose 15 more.
So how did the Teen Mom lose so much weight so quickly?
She said she “started cutting out sugar and starches,” but also makes sure to allow herself one cheat day per week.
Amber Portwood suggests those starting out simply give up drinking soft drinks, since most of them are loaded with sugar. Even those not sugar-laden feature artificial sweeteners, which typically cause weight gain, too.

If Amber does write a weight loss book, it won’t be her first title as an author. Her book Never Too Late hit bookshelves last summer. In it she describes what life was like in prison, as well as what it was like battling her addictions.
Amber Portwood has long battled her weight. When she first appeared on MTV’s 16 & Pregnant, she was quite heavy. She is presently in the best physical shape she’s been since then, and she’s got good reason to be, too.
Amber Portwood recently became engaged to Matt Baier. She’s also sober. Those two blessings have no doubt allowed her more self-control than she’s had in a long time.
