Amanda Bynes is in trouble once again after doing well for several months. The former actress was arrested in the Van Nuys neighborhood of Los Angeles on Sunday afternoon and arrested for DUI.
According to a report from Fox411 Bynes was stopped by a California Highway Patrol officer after she stopped in the middle of an intersection. She was said to have been cooperative during the arrest, but appeared disheveled.
The former star of The Amanda Show posted $15,000 bail, and was released a few hours following her arrest.
The New York Daily News reports that Bynes was alone in the car, driving a 2013 white Mercedes ML350.
“She ran a red light and stopped in the middle of a T-shaped intersection. Our officer observed her, and she appeared under the influence. She was unable to complete field sobriety tests, at which point she was taken to our station,” CHP spokesman Leland Tang told the publication.

Amanda Bynes underwent a series of health struggles back in 2013, and she was hospitalized for a mental evaluation last spring. She spent a lengthy amount of time in a rehab facility. Her parents have since been caring for her and she has been taking fashion design courses at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising. The last news reports about the former actress indicated she was doing quite well.
Bynes is still on probation for a 2012 case during which she hit a sheriff’s car in L.A. and was arrested for driving under the influence. She pleaded no contest to yet another reckless driving charge that involved a DUI in February of 2013.
This latest DUI arrest won’t look good to Amanda Bynes’s probation officer–especially if she is convicted. Might this mean a return to rehab for the All That star?
Fans are no doubt saddened to see this latest fall off the proverbial wagon for Bynes. She did so well for so long that many likely believed she had her drug and/or alcohol problems under decent control.
