Allison Williams said she is the luckiest “boy-girl” in the world. No, she’s not confused about her gender. However the daughter of NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams does play a boy in her lead role in Peter Pan Live! The live NBC event will air on Thursday, December 4th. A new promo clip was just released.
Allison Williams admits she was a bit nervous taking on the role of a flying boy.
“I’m not going to lie, the bigness of it felt scary for a hot second,” she says in the promo. She adds that she is the “luckiest girl … the luckiest boy-girl in the world.”
Last month Williams spoke with People magazine about her role, and told them that flying might be her favorite part of doing this upcoming live show.

“It gets uncomfortable, but the moment you lift off the ground is utter bliss,” she said.
The new promo video also features Christopher Walken, rehearsing his role as Captain Hook.
“It’s been fun–I dance a little, I sing a little. That’s what I do,” he says.
Allison Williams found working with Christopher Walken to be a very worthwhile experience.
“He is so deeply cool,” she says. “Even when he’s not doing anything, he is better at acting than I’ve ever been. Even when he’s just sitting around, he’s funnier than I’ve ever been.”
Other Peter Pan Live! cast members include Christian Borle as Mr. Darling and Smee. Borle also starred in last year’s Sound of Music Live! as Max Detweiler. Minnie Driver recently joined the cast, too, as an adult version of Wendy. She will also serve as narrator and appear in the final scene.
Will you be tuning in to see Allison Williams, Christopher Walken, and more on December 4th in Peter Pan Live!?
