Alec Baldwin has been a very busy man as of late. The “30 Rock” actor recently got hitched to his yoga instructing girlfriend Hilaria Thomas on June 29th, an event he preceded by shoving around a New York Daily News photographer and running over people’s feet with his mountain bike. However, in a recent interview with Vanity Fair, Baldwin says that he’s acted “childishly” in the past, something he hopes avoid in the future.
In order to prepare for his latest attempt at married life, Baldwin will dial down the theatrics in a most unfortunate way: by closing his Twitter account. Yes, those of us who fancy ourselves a little Baldwin every now and again will be disappointed to hear that he’s shut down his account once again. We’ve been down this road once before, so here’s hoping something gets him fired up enough to reactivate his Twitter feed so we can enjoy some of the madness that’s apparently rattling around inside his head at all hours of the day.
The upcoming Vanity Fair interview might be a good place for fans of his outbursts to say goodbye. If, like me, you’re craving one last adrenaline shot of Baldwin-oriented craziness, it’s sure to be a good read. Take, for instance, his thoughts regarding TMZ co-founder Harvey Levin. Apparently Baldwin isn’t a fan, due in part to Levin’s decision to post an angry voicemail the actor directed towards his daughter, who was 11 at the time.
“I wanted to stick a knife in him and gut him and kill him and I wanted him to die breathing his last breath looking into my eyes,” Baldwin explained. Although you can’t blame the guy for getting worked up over the incident, his attention to detail is definitely a tad disturbing. However, Baldwin later added, “You have to let that go. Enough time — I mean, it does heal wounds.”
Here’s hoping this interview was conducted AFTER Baldwin grabbed a photographer by the arm and called him a “little girl”. While carrying a pink stuffed animal, no less.
