As if pre-holiday shopping weren’t enough, the day after Christmas brings throngs of shoppers back to the retails stores for special post-holiday deals. In fact, according to the Christian Science Monitor, the best sales of the month aren’t rolled out until after the big man in the red suit returns to the North Pole. This is mainly due to retailers discounting the items (sometimes up to 70 percent) that they couldn’t sell before December 25.
Walmart and Kohl’s opened their doors at 5am Thursday morning for die-hard shoppers.
“This is an especially big time for people who got gift cards to come and spend on what they didn’t get for Christmas,” says Sarah McKinney, a Walmart spokeswoman.
According to Florida Today, some retailers, like Target.com and Kohls.com, even started their online sales on Christmas Day. (So much for spending quaility time with family.)

K-Mart – “Shop Your Way” members get 50 cents per gallon gas discounts when they spend $25 or more on specific Proctor and Gamble products
Kohl’s – 15 percent off purchases under $100, 20 percent off purchases over $100
JC Penny – $10 off purchases of $25 or more; coupon can be printed from the JC Penny website; coupons expire December 28
Macy’s – BYGO men’s dress shirts and designer suits
Old Navy – discounts up to 75 percent off
Sears – 40 percent off appliances for shoppers who use their Sears card to purchase an appliance over $499
Target – 50 percent off select toys, 40 percent off of apparel items
Toys R Us – 40 percent off select toys, including Skylanders figures and accessories
Walmart – thousands of items 25 to 50 percent off; a Nintendo 3DS XL System for $199.96; a $50 Walmart gift card with purchase
