Adele has already got the music world sewn up; since her explosion onto the scene with her multiple-award winning album “19”, she’s endeared herself to millions of fans all over the world while proving she’s got the wit and smarts to make it in such a tough business. But now, it looks like she’s ready to branch out a bit…all the way into Hollywood.

The Sun reports that the British singer will be joining Samuel L. Jackson, David Beckham, Mark Hammil, and Colin Firth in the spy thriller “The Secret Service”, which is based on the comic series by “Kick-Ass” writer Mark Millar. The film is said to be chock full of stars because director Matthew Vaughn wants it to pack a punch at the box office.

“Adele is exactly what Matthew is looking for. He wants the highest-profile names in various fields to boost the film’s cause and turn it into a mega-money franchise. You can’t get much bigger than Adele in music, which is why he’s so keen to get her involved,” a source told The Sun.

Adele is reportedly set to play a villain in the film, which starts production this fall. Several rumors have been swirling around casting choices, such as “Harry Potter” star Emma Watson, but most have been unconfirmed.

The movie, about a veteran secret agent who shows a newbie the ropes, is set for a 2014 release.
