  • 19 Kids and Counting cousin Amy Duggar married Dillon King on Sunday afternoon, in a ceremony on the grounds of Horton Farms near Bentonville, Arkansas. The nieces of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar (Amy Duggar’s mom is Jim Bob Duggar’s sister), Amy’s wedding gave the Duggar family something to celebrate in this summer filled with shock and disappointment.

Josh Duggar, the eldest of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s 19 children, was discovered to have sexually molested five underage girls when he was a teen–something his parents thought they had successfully swept under that proverbial rug. They had not. TLC ultimately cancelled 19 Kids and Counting as a result of this scandal.

Later in the summer, as the 19 Kids and Counting family were just starting to heal, it was determined Josh Duggar had two Ashley Madison accounts. After being outed during the cheater’s website’s hacking scandal, he admitted to having an addiction to pornography and to cheating on his wife, Anna Duggar.

Anna Duggar attended Amy Duggar’s wedding this weekend. Her oldest daughter, McKynzie, served as one of Amy’s flower girls.

“She’s been through so much,” Amy said.

Prior to her nuptials, Amy Duggar admitted she was looking forward to taking Dillon King’s last name–not just because she love him, but because it would help her distance herself from the 19 Kids and Counting Duggar family–all because of Josh Duggar’s sex scandals.

“I can’t wait to change my name,” she said just days before the wedding.

Despite her name change, Amy Duggar admitted on her wedding day that she loves her family.

“My family is so important to me,” she said.

That was evident on Sunday, as Amy Duggar and Dillon King said, “I do,” in front of about 400 guests–many of whom are part of those 19 Kids and Counting Duggars.
