ChaCha Sues HTC Over ChaCha Trademark

Earlier this month, HTC unveiled some new mobile devices with Facebook hardware buttons. One is called the Salsa, and the other is called the ChaCha. Believe it or not, ChaCha, the company, wasn’t thrilled with the name. 

ChaCha is suing HTC over the trademark. ChaCha co-founder Scott Jones gave us the following statement:

Facebook is now officially a hard key on phones, thanks to HTC, which announced two new Android devices with such a feature: the HTC ChaCha and the HTC Salsa. 

Like most smartphones have a button for search, these two phones have a button for sharing. The concept is simple, whatever app you’re in or whatever content you’re viewing, you can instantly share that to Facebook with a quick press of a button. The button pulsates with light whenever there is an opportunity to share content, so it even goes out of its way to encourage sharing. 

Facebook Shuts Down Facebook Phone Rumors…Again

Every now and then, rumors will start about a mythical Facebook phone. Eventually, Facebook will shoot them down, as is the case this week. 

The rumor, this time, was that HTC was going to launch a Facebook branded phone at Mobile World Congress next month. Details of the phone were made available as well, and rumors began to spiral into "Facebook’s going to compete with Apple and Android" territory. 

T-Mobile Unveils New Google Phone, G2
T-Mobile unveiled its G2 Google smartphone with 4G. The phone is the first designed for T-Mobile’s HSPA+ network, which the company says covers 100 million Americans in more than 55 major metropolitan areas across the country. 

The G2 is of course the successor to the G1, which was the first Android-powered phone. It is designed by HTC. It has a 3.7-inch screen and opens to a QWERTY keyboard, and comes with Android 2.2 and a snapdragon MSM7230 mobile processor.

Chrome OS Tablet May Debut On Black Friday

TechCrunch is reporting that Apple may be adding another patent infringement lawsuit against HTC. These two companies already have suits against each other.

HTC announced today that it is suing Apple. The company says it took legal action against Apple, filing a complaint with the United States International Trade Commission (ITC) to halt the importation and sale of the iPhone, iPad and iPod in the United States. HTC’s complaint outlines five patents it claims are infringed upon by Apple products.

As you probably know, China is the most populous country in the world, and it happens to be home to the biggest wireless market, too.  Google might be on the edge of something huge, then, as there’s word that an Android-based phone will go on sale in China sometime next month.

Google AndroidIt’s October 20th according to CrunchGear, who received the info from a "little birdy" who also confirmed that the phone’s official announcement would go down on September 23rd. It looks like Jason Miller’s daughter is going to get here first.

FCC Has No Problems With Dream
