Internet television service Joost and CBS have entered into an agreement where the television broadcaster will make its content available on the Joost platform. Content that will be featured on Joost include the popular CSI franchise, CBS Evening News, and CBS Sportsline.
Viacom on the Bandwagon
CBS announced it was going mobile earlier this week, and now its former “corporate sibling,” Viacom, is following suit. Shows to be available streaming from Sprint include Nickelodeon’s “Spongebob Squarepants” and Comedy Central’s “The Colbert Report.” I’m sure my sisters will be excited to watch MTV’s “The Hills” on their phones.
CBS Buys Online Sports Network

The CBS Corporation has purchased the online high school sports network MaxPreps. The company will become part of CBS owned CSTV (College Sports Television). The site focuses on stats, stories, photos and videos of athletes and coaches. Brian Bedol, President and CEO of CSTV Networks made the announcement.

Before being split into two companies that essentially represented broadcast and cable, CBS resided under Viacom's corporate umbrella.
CBS SportsLine Relaunches

CBS SportsLine, an Internet sports media organization and part of CBS Interactive has launched its redesigned Community homepage, providing registered users with more ways to contribute to the site and interact with other members.
The redesigned community enables members to create a "reputation" on the site by contributing to message boards, connecting with other users, taking part in fantasy games and by the overall frequency of their behavior.
