The News Goes 3D on YouTube

Last week, we took a look at YouTube's testing of 3D videos after a thread was spotted in the YouTube Help Center where an employee was discussing the concept. This was part of his "20%" time.
A 3D Future for YouTube?
Google is testing 3D videos on YouTube. An interesting post in the YouTube Help Center was discovered by Search Engine Roundtable's Barry Schwartz, and a Google employee is apparently using his "20% time" to work on the "stereoscopic player".
There is even a test video (at least one) that is live:
3D Video Could Be Possibility In YouTube's Future
Google is still letting its employees play with their 20% time, as evidenced by the newest YouTube project spotted: three dimensional video. Pete, the Googler behind this, confirmed this in a YouTube Help thread, saying that the project is “currently very early.”

Google has teamed up with the Guggenheim Museum to create a design competition to design a "simple shelter for a specific geographic location anywhere in the world." Contestants will use Google's SketchUp, Google earth, and Google 3D Warehouse to design, geo-locate, and upload their projects.
Disneyland Paris Now In Google Earth

Walt Disney Parks and Resorts is now on Google Earth in 3D allowing users to virtually tour Disney's four theme parks and its 22 hotels and resorts.There are 1,500 3D points of interest in the virtual tour of Disney. Users can click on images to get more information about an attraction, purchase tickets, make reservations and map out their vacation.
