Miley Cyrus and Sinead O’Connor are at it again. The controversial 46-year-old Irish singer, blasts Cyrus for mocking her mental illness.

On Thursday, Sinead O’Connor wrote an open letter to Miley Cyrus, “The music business doesn’t give a s*** about you, or any of us.” she wrote,“They will prostitute you for all you are worth, and cleverly make you think it’s what YOU wanted …and when you end up in rehab as a result of being prostituted, ‘they’ will be sunning themselves on their yachts in Antigua, which they bought by selling your body and you will find yourself very alone.”

The twerking sensation, Cyrus, then responded with this tweet “Before Amanda Bynes…. There was….

The tweet compares Sinead O’Connor to Amanda Bynes, both of whom have been treated for psychiatric problems. As to be expected, this prompted yet another heated open letter by O’connor via Facebook. Sinead’s new letter to Miley, calls  Cyrus’ tweets ‘anti-female’, ‘irresponsible’,  ‘dangerous’, and ‘f***ing stupid’.

“Miley… Really? Who the f**k is advising you? Because taking me on is even more f**kin’ stupid than behaving like a prostitute and calling it feminism. You have posted today tweets of mine which are two years old, which were posted by me when I was unwell and seeking help so as to make them look like they are recent,” O’Connor wrote. She then threatened legal action against Cyrus if the tweets were not removed and urged Cyrus to apologize to her and all the people that suffer from mental illness.

After reading O’Connor’s response, the 20-year-old Pop singer tweeted, “Sinead. I don’t have time to write you an open letter cause I’m hosting & performing on SNL this week.”

The SNL (Saturday Night Live) reference seemed to be a slight jab, considering O’Connor was banned from the comedy show for ripping up and image of the Pope on live TV, in 1992.

Cyrus then extended an invitation for them to meet up and talk about the issue.

Chances are there will be more jabs and low blows to come from these two.  Let’s see if there’s another round.

  • Women Never Get Along

You can put two women in a room and within an hour they will find something to fight about. Although, in this case you have two unstable women squaring off.

Sinead bashed men completely and as a typical lunatic feminist does, puts all the responsibility for the self-serving choices of a women on the men around her. Sinead O’Connor was a short lived, one hit wonder who is literally crazy. She has had multiple suicide attempts and these tweets sum up her mental state of mind (Sinead O’Connor August 31, 2011 Tweets):

“My s***-uation sexually/affectionately speaking is so dire that inanimate objects are starting to look good as are inappropriate and/or unavailable men and/or inappropriate and/or unavailable fruits and vegetables. I tell you yams are looking like the winners.” She went on to say: “Let me now take time to make VERY clear that yes I ‘do anal’ and in fact I would be deeply unhappy if ‘doing anal’ wasn’t on the menu, amongst everything else$$ So if u don’t like ‘the difficult brown’.. Don’t apply…”

Miley on the other hand, is an opportunist and master manipulator. She is worth close to 1/5th of a billion dollars and she is only 20. You don’t do that without a plan. She is playing everyone.

At the end of the day though, this is what America has become. Just about every female in Hollwyood is using sex to get ahead. Heck, even Jennifer Anniston is taking of her clothes. Just don’t come complaining that it is the fault of men because it obvious women are choosing to do this. They are responsible for their decisions.

I have no idea what to say to this behaviour of Miss Cyrus’. If the VMA Performance and the way she tends to take her clothes off these days is shameful, this is outright stupidity of someone who has forgotten herself. Mocking people with mental illnesses is not an okay thing, and maybe she’s a celebrity and because of that, people criticise her with an even larger magnifying glass… I am very disappointed in someone who used to be a good model for teenagers and aspiring young girls.
I am a teenager myself, and while I barely watched Hannah Montana, I do know that a lot of girls watched it and fell in love with the idea of being a superstar.
But by now, with the VMA, the wayward acting, explicit videos and stupid comments, it’s no wonder that parents would someday forbid their daughters to become superstars, because of her example.
In the case of mental illnesses, it has been shown that some people that live normally still have a very mild form of a mental disorder.
THIS IS A LETTER FOR YOU, SUBJECT OF DISCUSSION: Nobody is perfect, Miley Cyrus. Nobody. You are getting almost naked in public, therefore you have no reason to blame others for your indiscretion. Like you said about the VMA performance ‘Britney’s done it, Madonna’s done it…’ Do you have to do it? Are you suddenly so shallow that you would give anything to ‘make history’? That isn’t making history, that is selling your body. Knowingly or unknowingly, you’ve done it, for sure. For your sake, I hope this gets to you. Somehow, which might be really hard to do, because I’m not on Twitter, or Facebook…
I find it appalling that I am more mature that someone 5 years older than me.
Foolish girl, the mental illness mockery was not a jab at just one person. It wasn’t a jab just at the people in mental hospitals.
…Do you know how many people living ‘normally’ suffer from anxiety? Do you even know what a mental illness is?
I tell you, Miley Cyrus, you are telling people that they are sick, YOU are the one that’s sick for failing people who thought you better than this, even most of your fans.
As for Sinead, she’s gone through so many things and has learnt so many lessons. What an older, more experienced person sees while sitting down, a child could not see it even if he/she climbed Mount Everest. That is more or less a proverb I know. I’m not saying that Sinead is innocent – in fact, she’s quite far from it – but why not take people’s word for it and stop this shameful behaviour? There is a difference between being carefree and careless. Learn it.
For some reason, though I am a 15 year old girl, I do wish I grew up in another generation where women’s bodies weren’t prostituted on pictures and sex tapes, and sex isn’t talked about so lightly.
As such, and the standard wasn’t as low as it is today.
As I said before, I hope this letter does get to you, Miss Cyrus. I really do.
Be careful. For your sake, one day, I hope you would be able to explain yourself to your future children someday.

That was epic, Anonymous! Nice to see a teenager with so much wisdom. <3

Yes i agree with the irish singer, maybe he might not be very diplomatic about it, but what is the music industry doing to the teen girls this days to be liberal does not mean protraying you to look like someone who does not care about her value and sensuality. This is obviously to creat a misconception of sex and music in general. I think that the music industry should portray women as something sensual but not to take them to the extreme as portraying as sexual objects, this is affecting young males subconsciously. I think there needs to be limits, but then again they want to distract the public. I really fear this will be all about a poisoned culture where the essence of art is lost through obstruction of genre, but rather almost a pornographic art where commercial music is playing on the background is this what the music world want to be about?
