Report: Klout Acquisition Official

By: Chris Crum - March 27, 2014

Last month, we learned that Klout was to be acquired by Lithium Technologies after Re/Code broke the news, which was never actually confirmed. Now, it’s been confirmed.

CNN reports, “It’s official,” and says the deal is valued at about $200 million.Re/Code originally had it at over $100 million.

Still no official announcement from Klout or Lithium.

The news originally came just after Klout launched a major redesign aimed at helping users build their Klout scores by recommending content for them to share.

Last month, a Klout spokesperson told WebProNews, “Klout doesn’t comment on rumor or speculation,” when asked about the acquisition.
