Josh, you missed a key point. Not only are Avenues for Women and the Pregnancy Resource Center not the closest abortion clinics to you — they aren’t abortion clinics at all. They’re crisis pregnancy centers (CPCs) – organizations notorious for using misleading and coercive tactics to prevent women from seeking abortion services.

Oh, and another thing: Apparently, if you tell Siri you’ve been raped, she answers blithely, “Is that so?” Seems to me that a referral to the local police department, emergency room, or RAINN would be a whole lot more appropriate.

I don’t own one of these things, but I am able to think a little.

A little checking seems to indicate that you are in Lexington, Kentucky. So I go to BING and GOOGLE and online Yellow Pages and enter Lexington KY along with words like abortion, “abortion clinic” etc…..

I quickly discover that the pro-life forces have at least as many ads as the abortion providers. And both sides tend to use the same phrases….Abortion Services….Abortion Counseling….etc….

I mean, nobody is gonna put up a “Get Yer Abortion Here” type ad. I had trouble telling which places offered abortions and which ones were there to talk you out of it. And I’d like to think I’m smarter than that thing your talking about. So I believe that is the trouble. The machine is trying to find actual abortion providers and is having a hard time doing it.

I might add that if memory serves this confusion was a deliberate strategy of the pro-life forces. So maybe it worked.

I asked Siri for abortion clinics and she told me there weren’t any. I’m in New York City.

What do you think? Respond.
