How do previous presidential candidates spend their free time? In Mitt Romney’s case, one spends time tailgating for Ole Miss. It appears that businessman and politician, Mitt Romney, still strives to remain in contact with former employees as his previous employee, Garrett Jackson, was also enjoying the Ole Miss tailgating festivities.

Garrett Jackson, who graduated from Ole Miss in 2009, had at one point served as Mitt Romney’s personal aide. Garrett at least partially contributed to Mitt’s reason to spend leisure time on the tailgating field as well as sitting in the stands observing the game. Since it isn’t every day that the 70th Governor of Massachusetts and the 2012 Republican Party’s nominee for President of the United States visits a game, Garrett shared news of the personal visit on his Twitter page.

Though sixty-six-year-old Romney completed his undergraduate degree at Brigham Young and his joint Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration degree at Harvard, he wore the Ole Miss shirt proudly in support of the team. Seeing the former presidential candidate walking among the trees must have been quite the shock for fellow tailgaters. Many took to Twitter in order to share images of their encounters.
