  • Jessica Simpson and her husband Eric Johnson channeled two throwback stars from National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation as their Halloween costumes this weekend. Jessica Simpson dressed up as Christie Brinkley, and Johnson was Chevy Chase’s character from the series of movies, Clark Griswold.

Having the long blonde locks made it easy for Jessica Simpson to portray Christie Brinkley. She added a white shirt dress cinched at the waist and sky-high heels to complete the outfit. Johnson as Clark Griswold wore an outfit straight out of the 1980s–a pair of “Dad jeans,” white shoes, and a hairstyle befitting the character.

Jessica Simpson shared a photo of the pair via Instagram.

“Griswold and Brinkley #HappyHalloween ?by @kristingram,” she captioned it.

Christie Brinkley commented on the post, giving Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson her complete approval.

“christiebrinkley How cute is this? Our National Lampoon was lampooned to PERFECTION ! You guys look Hot and Hilarious !!!@jessicasimpson #happyhalloween! #nationallampoonsvacation,” she wrote.

Do you suppose Chevy Chase has caught wind of the Halloween costumes? Jessica Simpson’s rendition of Christie Brinkley was far more flattering that Eric Johnson’s of Chevy Chase. Nonetheless, the actor would surely find the humor in their get-ups.

Kudos to Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson on their cleverness and on catching the attention of Christie Brinkley.
