  • Dig, if you will, a picture. No, not you and I engaged in a kiss; instead, the picture in question features a 5-10 basketball player with such leaping ability–52-inch vertical–you’d think man is actually capable of flight. That’s the mental image James Justice should have left you with after he absolutely took over ESPN’s college basketball dunk contest.

While the entire contest should’ve put the NBA on notice, especially after that failure of an attempt that was the most recent Slam Dunk Contest, it also introduced the world to James Justice, and man, did the world–at least the Twitterverse–stand up and take notice. Of course, when you’re that small in stature, relatively speaking, jumping out the gym like that will get you noticed. In fact, it’s safe to say that after his dunk contest performance, James Justice became something of a legend, and if you don’t believe me, just Google and/or Twitter search his name and see how much people are talking about him.

Before that, however, here’s the dunk provided Justice put his trending powers over the top:

Aside from Justice’s aerial wizardry, the entire contest was a hit, featuring one awesome dunk after another:

After watching those, it demonstrates just how awesome Justice’s dunks were, because everyone in the competition absolutely brought their “A” game. Naturally, Twitter noticed Justice’s high-flying act, and responded in kind:
