Known Apple hacker accomplishes feat in roughly three days

To the delight of those waiting to get Angry Birds HD for free, Apple hacker Comex has successfully jailbroken the brand new iPad 2. Comex, part of iPhone Dev Team, announced his accomplishment via Twitter with this picture, showing the iPad 2 running the application-snatching jailbreak software Cydia:

Comex, who does not own the iPad 2, had to use an iPad 2500 miles away to work on the hack.

Unfortunately for anxious iPad 2 owners, the jailbreak has not been made available to the public yet. This new jailbreak, at three days, comes at a sloth-like pace compared to the one day it took to jailbreak iOS 4.3.
