Soccer Grenade: Iran Field Sees Explosive Thrown

Reports are early and not too detailed, but according to this video–which was uploaded on YouTube–some “fans” threw an object onto an Iranian soccer field during a match. A player, thinking it was trash, picked it up and tossed it aside, only to see it explode on impact. Two seconds was all it might have taken for a very different outcome.

No injuries have been reported, and authorities are investigating the incident.
