Chandler Parsons Takes On ModelingBy: Meaghan Ellis - December 20, 2013
Houston Rockets forward Chandler Parsons has picked up a new trade, and it has nothing to do with sports.
Since he’s already considered eye candy, and a fan favorite among females, Parsons has decided to use that jaw-dropping, lean physique, and those intense eyes to his advantage. He’s a model now!
Yesterday, Parsons took to Twitter to share a Buffalo David Bitton advertisement campaign he’s currently featured on. The Buffalo Jeans’ advertisement captures Parsons sporting a white, open shirt with his bare chest on display.
Fashion model, Ashley Sky is also photoed sitting on his lap. While the one picture Parsons tweeted was simply a teaser for fans, Bitton also took to Twitter with more captures from the photoshoot.
A short preview video from Parsons’ shoot was also released on YouTube. The 26-second teaser gives fans a peak of what to expect from Buffalo David Bitton’s Spring 2014 fashion line.
Parsons recently spoke with Sports Illustrated about his partnership with Buffalo Jeans. Gracious to have such a career opportunity, Parsons expressed his sentiments of the new venture off the court.
“I’m very excited to partner with Buffalo Jeans,” Parsons said. “I’ve gotten to know the brand and their style and culture reflects a lot of things in my life. I love the way the clothes fit and get compliments on their stuff all the time. They’re about being young, looking good, and having fun.”
But, with great opportunities, rumors tend to float, and Parsons’ latest feat has been no different. The pictures and video preview which captured Parsons’ and Sky in rather compromising positions, have already left many to question how he and his girlfriend were left to deal with the outcome.
However, he deftly offered clarity on the nature of business between he and Sky before rumors even escalated. Parsons took a minute to touch on the opportunity to work with Sky. “She was so easy to work with,” Parsons said. “She’s a pro and has been doing this for a while so she helped make sure I didn’t feel out of place.”
He also offered his girlfriend’s perspective of the photoshoot. Luckily, there was no rift between Parsons and his girlfriend, as she understood the business aspects of it all, and had no qualms about his level of professionalism.
“She was totally cool with it,” he said. “She knows it’s business and didn’t have a problem at all.”
Parsons’ is currently averaging approximately 17.1 points per game, knocking down 41 percent from three-point range. Although he’s still under rookie contract, it has been noted that Parsons will probably receive the much bigger payout when negotiations come back around. But, it looks as though he’ll also have a bright future with his modeling career.
