Britney Spears has changed a lot since her original debut more than a decade ago. Her newest album due sometime in the future may be the biggest change yet.
On Wednesday, Spears tweeted out minor details about her new album. Check it out:
Really excited 2 give u a taste of my new album... can't wait 2 share what I've been working on. Going to be my most personal album ever
— Britney Spears (@britneyspears) July 3, 2013
What does "most personal album ever" mean? Nobody knows, but it should be interesting to hear a more personal take from the pop star. The music production should be pretty solid as well if her newest single from The Smurfs 2 soundtrack is any indication.
Spears' latest album, which has yet to be named, is the pop star's first album since 2011's Femme Fatale. The album was generally well received with a 67 on Metacritic. Sixteen out of the 25 reviews were positive praising the music production, but criticizing Spears' complacency to have others write all her music. It sounds like she's going to buck that trend with her latest album. It will be interesting then to see what others think of an album that's presumably written by Spears.
In other Britney Spears news, Access Hollywood reports that the pop star is getting ready for a new Las Vegas show by doing some extensive physical training. She's reportedly taking on yoga as well as hour-long cardio sessions three times a week. She says that she has to be in "top condition" for the show, and her training regime will definitely achieve that.
