Bond Girl Marlohe Claims Latest Bond Flick is the Best One YetBy: WebProNews Staff - May 22, 2012
Bond girl Berenice Marlohe is certainly talking a good game. When asked about the latest James Bond film “Skyfall,” a motion picture in which she co-stars, Marlohe stated that it was “one of the better, if not the best” installment of the long-running franchise thus far. Of course, the latest Bond flick is always the best Bond flick, especially when you’re starring in it. However, if the recently-released teaser is any indication of things to come, I suspect that fans of the series won’t have anything to complain about.
Marlohe, who portrays the character Severine in the upcoming film, was understandably enthusiastic when she engaged reporters at this year’s Cannes Film Festival.
“Fans really can expect all the key ingredients that have made this franchise last for 50 years – action, sense of humor, the characters are very high in colors. They have a fantastic cast and a fantastic director. They really can expect one of the better, if not the best Bond ever. I really think they will really enjoy it,” she explained.
Although she wouldn’t reveal any details about her character, Marlohe was quick to sing the praises of her co-star. “He’s a wonderful guy, he’s very serious while working but at the same time he has a great sense of humour and beautiful humanity,” she explained. “He’s truly a great person. All of those things are what makes someone sexy or attractive.”
“Skyfall” marks the 23rd James Bond film since the 60’s, and the third which features Daniel Craig as the titular spy. Personally, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed Craig’s portrayal of the iconic hero, and I’m quite anxious to see how the latest feature unfolds. With MGM’s numerous financial troubles delaying the film’s production, I had started to worry that we may not see another installment for quite some time.
“Skyfall”, which also stars Dame Judi Dench, Ralph Fiennes, Albert Finney, Naomie Harris, and Javier Bardem, opens here in the States on November 9th. You can have a look at some Twitter reactions to the film’s first teaser by directing your attention below.
