  • If you were asleep or otherwise away from the internet last night, then you may have missed the remix that Beyoncé dropped on the world.

Her new version of “**Flawless” is quickly making its way across the web and fans can’t stop talking about how much they love the remix.

Others can’t stop looking to the lyrics for supposed clues about the state of the singer’s marriage to rapper Jay-Z.

One line in particular has listeners talking:

We escalate, up in this bitch like elevators. Of course sometimes shit go down when it’s a billion dollars on the elevator.

This is Beyoncé’s first and ONLY real acknowledgement of the scandalous elevator fight between her sister Solange and Jay-Z.

It’s a curious line considering Beyoncé’s passive role during the actual fight (although she did leave with her sister; Jay-Z left the Met Gala in a different vehicle).

What’s especially intriguing is that if one were to “read” the line a certain way, it sounds an awful lot like it’s MONEY keeping Beyoncé and Jay-Z together rather than LOVE.

As everyone is on the outside of their marriage looking in, it’s highly unlikely that anyone will ever learn the whole truth about their relationship. This will probably be true even if the two stars were to part ways.

The remix featured rapping by Nicki Minaj, who was especially impressive. If her fans were disappointed in her recent single, this will hopefully remind them what Minaj is capable of.

Notably absent from this version is the “Bow Down” portion of the song and the feminist outlook.

It seems as if Beyoncé and Minaj got right to the point in this remix with regards to their current status in the music industry.

They are “queens” and everyone else isn’t. Shots may or may not have been fired.

Not everyone was happy with the remix or the message, but you can’t please everyone all the time. Judging by the reaction from Beyoncé’s fan base, the ones pleased were the ones who mattered most.
