Google announced that you can now pre-order movie titles on Google Play. The company said in a Google+ update:
Forget film release countdowns.
Pre-order new movies like “+Gone Girl,” “Guardians of the Galaxy,” “+Maleficent,” “Maze Runner,” and more, then watch them the first day they’re available on digital. (US only, more countries coming soon!)
You can’t just pre-order anything, but Google has a list available here. Presumably that will grow in time.
Available titles at this point include: Gone Girl, The Maze Runner, The Equalizer, Guardians of the Galaxy, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Lucy, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, Maleficent, 22 Jump Street, Planes: ire & Rescue, How to Train Your Dragon 2, Tammy, Jersey Boys, Sex Tape, and Into the Storm.
Your card won’t be charged until the movie is delivered. Youll get a pre-order email receipt when you order one, and then you’ll get another confirmation email when the movie arrives, confirming the purchase and the delivery to your library.
