Last Thursday night, Sony held an hour-long countdown event in New York for the launch of the PlayStation 4. The event was filled with developer interviews, previews, and even a few announcements, such as the exclusive PlayStation mission for Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, the release date for Infamous: Second Son, and the reveal that a new Uncharted game is in development. The hype even seems to have been justified, as Sony announced this weekend that it sold over one million PlayStation 4 consoles on launch day in the U.S. and Canada.

This week it’s Microsoft’s turn. The company announced today that it will also hold a televised, hour-long Xbox One launch countdown special starting at 11 pm EST on Thursday, November 21.

Titled the “Xbox One Countdown To Launch,” the show will be broadcast on Spike TV. The show will also be streaming online at the GameTrailers website, Xbox.com, and through Xbox Live on the Xbox 360.

Unlike Sony, Microsoft has not teased that its countdown broadcast will be the source of any new Xbox One announcements. Instead, the show will feature live interviews and previews from Microsoft’s big Xbox One launch parties in New York and L.A. It will also include musical performances from Deadmau5 and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, as well as some performance art with Dead Rising 3-style zombies invading Times Square.

Along with the countdown announcement, Microsoft has released three short teasers for the show. Each is themed around an Xbox One-exclusive launch title, with Ryse: Son of Rome, Forza 5, and Dead Rising 3 all represented:
