You’ve been able to play Capcom’s (publisher, not developer) puzzle game World Gone Sour on your computer for a little while now, but today they have announced when you’ll be able to play it on your consoles.
According to Capcom, the “puzzle platformer with bite-sized heroes” is coming to the PlayStation Network on April 10th and to Xbox LIVE Arcade on April 11th. If you haven’t played the game, here’s how they describe it:
Based on the popular Sour Then Sweet candy Sour Patch Kids, World Gone Sour takes players on a journey from the perspective of a lost piece of candy finding its way to its ultimate destination – the human stomach. Gamers take on the role of a miniature Sour Patch Kid in a stylized human-sized world, guiding the hero through unique locations such as the sticky floors of a movie theatre and a spooky shack. Players will need to use a combination of jumps, twists and puzzle-solving to negotiate and overcome larger than life obstacles.
Ok, so it’s probably not a Game of the Year candidate, but it’s not exactly the game that makes World Gone Sour so intriguing. When it was first released last December, the game had a pretty unique spokesman – Method Man. The game came packaged with a new (and kind of profane) track called “World Gone Sour (The Lost Kids).” It’s almost too bizarre to be missed, so check it out below:
Plus, the game itself is narrated by Creed Bratton, better known as Creed from The Office.
The console versions of the game will support two-person local co-op as well as Achievements and Trophies. It will run PS3 owners $4.99 and cost Xbox owners 400 Microsoft points.
