Tyra Banks has been retired from modeling for nearly nine years now, but she said she might be open for a reunion if the idea ever came about.
During Tuesday night’s episode of Watch What Happens Live, Banks was asked that question. She revealed that she had been asked to do a reunion several years ago, but the America’s Next Top Model host was trying to be taken seriously as a talk show host and business woman.
“I have been asked to do a reunion many years ago,” Banks, who was a Victoria’s Secret Angel from 1997 until 2005, said. “I said no because I was trying to be taken seriously as a talk show host and as an executive producer and as a businesswoman.”
Since then, Gisele Bündchen and Heidi Klum have also retired their wings, and Banks said she would be open to doing a reunion with her former friends. “I don’t know if I would. But whenever I see them, I feel like we have a connection, these Angels, because we’re like the O.G. original Angels. Like, that was invented on us,” Banks said.
Banks also admitted that she has a bone to pick with Victoria’s Secret. Banks said, when she left the company, she was told that she would be getting free Victoria’s Secret products for life. However, she only received them for a year, which upset her. “The president of Victoria’s Secret promised me a lifetime supply of Victoria’s Secret products, even after I decided to leave the company. But once I left, he only let me have it for a year. So I have a bone to pick.”
Aside from a possible modeling reunion, Banks has revealed that she is working on a Life-Size sequel that may include Lindsay Lohan. The original film starred Banks and Lohan, who was only 11 years old at the time. “This time I’m executive producing it and we’re in the process of writing,” she said. “We haven’t spoken to Lindsay, but you never know. I mean, she’s a woman now. She’d be like, ‘Hey, Eve doll. You used to be my Barbie.'”
