Twitter just announced on its blog that it will present a special cast of live-tweeters to cover the Billboard Music Awards, airing Sunday live on ABC at 8pm ET / 7pm CT (8pm PT).
A BBMA Live Tweet has been set up here, and the live-tweeters include Alicia Keys, Nelly Furtado and AFI bassist Hunter Burgan.
Modern Family stars Julie Bowen and Ty Burrell are hosting the awards, and fans can check in on the BBMA Live Tweet throughout the day of the event.

Twitter adds that artists like @nadiaali, @preciousweapons, @tranquilmammoth, and @brokenanchor1 with be tweeting remotely, along with actors including @juliannehough and @TheRealMikeEpps, fashion guru @NinaGarcia, author Sloane Crosley (@askanyone) and comedian @TracyMcMillan.
Incidentally, the video below for AFI’s “Morningstar” instantaneously reminds me of being relatively passed out under the little stage where the smaller bands played at the Vans Warp Tour in 2002, at the 2:29 mark:
