In a quick post to its staff blog, Tumblr announced some new Facebook Timeline integration, which the company says makes sharing posts on Facebook “a billion times better.”

Users can now toggle “send to Facebook” when they’re posting, as well as share replies and likes on the Facebook Timeline. It shouldn’t spam your friends, because, as the company notes, they get lumped together.

Tumbler users can find the new features under blog settings, but if your Tumblr blog is already connected to your Facebook account, you’ll be prompted to upgrade.

There are plenty of “likes” in the notes on the announcement post.

In January, Tubmlr announced it was getting 15 billion pageviews per month. Given all the Timeline success stories Facebook has been posting, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Tumblr make an appearance in that series soon.
