Like past entries in the series, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag will be getting a premium collector’s edition. We’ll be getting our own Limited Edition, but our friends in the UK get the much cooler sounding Buccaneer Edition.
So, what comes with the Buccaneer Edition? Ubisoft recently did an unboxing to reveal the contents of its latest Collector’s Edition, and fans will not be disappointed. The box set comes with a figurine of Captain Kenway, an 80 page artbook, the official soundtrack, two lithographs and digital bonus content that adds three new singleplayer missions alongside new items for multiplayer. All of it comes in a box modeled to look like an aged wooden crate:
Our own Limited Edition comes with all of the above, but without the cool box. Our Limited Edition makes up for it, however, with a 28″x48″ pirate flag. Regardless of the region you live in, you’re going to get some cool stuff if you opt for $130 Limited/Buccaneer Edition of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag.
Ubisoft is quick to point out that the Limited/Buccaneer Edition will be available for both current and next gen versions of the game. That’s good news for Assassin’s Creed super fans who will be picking up the latest game on either the Xbox One or PS4.
Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag will be released on October 29 for the Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii U. The next-gen versions will launch alongside their respective consoles, and the PC version is set to launch at some point in December.
