In a touching mix of undying love and new product marketing, a Googler proposed to his girlfriend by giving her Google's new Nexus 7, and showing her a video. Google tweeted about it today:
"On July 4th, 2012, my girlfriend and I were in Chicago with our two brothers and friend. We visited the Shedd Aquarium, Millennium Park, and played squash at the University Club. At the end of our match, our brothers sneaked upstairs while I gave her a gift: the Nexus 7 tablet," the Googler says in the YouTube description. "I did a quick live demo and ended it by showing her this video on YouTube :)."
The 7-inch tablet was unveiled at Google I/O last month. It's the same size as the Kindle Fire, and costs $199.
As reported earlier, the first ad for the device is out now, and while it's no Jurassic Park 4, there are dinosaurs involved. The Nexus 7 is available from the Google Play Store, though the 16GB model is currently sold out.
