The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 trailer is due to be released on Monday, September 15th.

The teaser trailer is suggestive enough for fans of The Hunger Games books to understand the leads and get excited for the trailer.

It shows Katniss holding a white rose while President Snow (Donald Sutherland) voices over, “Miss Everdeen, it’s the things we love most that destroy us.”

Avid fans that have actually read the books know where this is going.

If the success of the first two Hunger Games movies is any indication, Mockingjay Part 1 is sure to be fantastic.

The Hunger Games is still on the top of the pile when it comes to young adult fiction books-turned-movies. The second installment, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, earned $865 million worldwide and the praise of just about anyone who breathes.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 is expected to focus on Katniss’ struggle to overcome the trauma, mental and physical, that she suffered in the first two rounds of Hunger Games. The second will reportedly focus on the war and revolution of the district citizens against the Capitol.

Mockingjay Part 1 will begin with Katniss accepting her role as the face of the revolution and go from there.

The cast of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 will be expanding to include some impressive new faces. Julianne Moore will join the cast as President Alma Coin.

Natalie Joiner is also on board as Cressida and her Game of Thrones co-star, Gwendoline Christie, will join the cast later as Commander Lyme for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2.

The casting just keeps getting more impressive with each movie!

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 will be released to rabid fans on November 21st.
