Tesla plans to wind down Cybertruck production at its Texas Gigafactory around the middle of next year to free up capacity for Cybercab production.
The Cybertruck has easily been Tesla’s most maligned vehicle. Early production was plagued with quality control issues, leading to multiple recalls, while the vehicle’s design has sharply divided people. Even nature seems to have an issue with it, with raccoons apparently damaging and breaking into Cybertrucks because the curious critters mistake them for trash dumpsters.
It seems that the Cybertruck’s days may be numbered, with Elon Musk posting to X about plans to wind down production.
Tesla will be winding down production of the Cybertruck at Gigafactory Texas around the middle of next year to make room for increased Cybercab production
Only time will tell if the company plans to revisit Cybertruck production once Cybercab production stabilizes, but that certainly seems like a long shot. Based on the currently available information, a discontinuation seems more likely.
