It turns out age doesn’t mean anything when it comes following your dreams and making money-and I mean big money.
Two years ago, teenage business entrepreneur Madison Robinson took her flip-flop design and turned it into a reality, creating a business that now sells in online, in boutiques and in over 60 Nordstrom stores.
Robinson came up with the idea for her sea-creature-styled-flip-flops with battery-operated lights at the young age of 8.
With assistance from her t-shirt designer dad, Robinson was able to turn her drawings into a product that eventually lined the shelves of stores. After they were shown off at a trade show, the product became a hit and over 30 stores placed orders.
The greatest thing about Robinson’s business so far? She hasn’t received a single “no” from any of the businesses she’s asked to sell her Fish Flops’.
@Fishflops Just want to say you inspire me to chase my innovative ideas. Now is always the best time to begin!
