Taylor Swift’s new fashion style has everyone talking and gawking. Although the pop princess has always been spot-on with the rock chic look for her past performance ensembles – her recent more daring wardrobe choices are a welcomed change.

At the 2014 iHeartRadio Music Festival held in Las Vegas on Friday, the “Shake It Off” singer stole the show by revealing plenty of skin both on the red carpet and on stage.

To kick off the festivities, 24-year-old Swift entered the press room at the MGM Grand Casino and Resort in the festival’s signature hues: a strapless, bandeau white top paired with a fire engine red pencil skirt, from the Calvin Klein Resort 2015 collection. Still present is her signature red-hot look: her crimson pout framed by loose waves matching a high-waisted red skirt. This was capped off by a pair of strappy black and white Christian Louboutins.

For the night’s stage set, the Grammy Award-winning artist opted for a bubblegum pink Jessica Jones two-piece.  The sparkling long-sleeved crop top and matching flared miniskirt were cut to showcase her toned abs and legs. The outfit was completed by a pair of sky-high booties covered in rhinestones. US Weekly reported that the booties had to be bedazzled especially for the event:  “It took Taylor’s wardrobe people three or four hours to put all the rhinestones on her shoes last night,” said a backstage source.

Hopefuls wanting to rock a Tay Tay look in their own personal style should go for moderation, stylists recommend:

“Keep dresses form-fitting and not too revealing,” says image consultant Thea Wood. “A good rule of thumb? If it’s form-fitted, feature only one skin element, such as your back, bust, legs, or mid-riff. (Yes), shiny fabrics are on-trend, but be careful. They will highlight every bump and roll, so place shiny strategically and wear shape-wear.”
