Tara Reid has been having quite the week, according to her Instagram account. The 39-year old actress recently made headlines for her revealing vacation snaps, and now she’s getting attention for her homage to a cult classic film: The Big Lebowski. Reid posted a couple of shots at a bowling alley in San Francisco on Tuesday, where she was inexplicably rolling balls in her bra, and captioned one of them “Bunny Lebowski gets a strike”.
The line was, of course, in reference to her green-toed, sexually adventurous character from TBL, and fans immediately showed the post some love; as of now it has over 3,700 “likes” on the pic-sharing site. While there’s really no way to know exactly what’s going on in these pictures (why the bra? Where are the other bowlers? Did she rent out the facility just to make a reference to one of her most famous roles? Does she still have all her toes?), it’s clear she’s still having fun on holiday with her boyfriend, who appeared in a few photos with her while they were cave diving in Mexico. Those pics were responsible for a wave of backlash earlier this week when they hit the web, as many commenters on Instagram accused her of altering them to make herself look thinner than she already is.
Reid has received criticism for her appearance before; back in 2008, she told OK Magazine that she gains and loses weight for roles but can never seem to please everyone.
“I’m not too thin. I go up 10 pounds, I do down 10 pounds. I was thin for a movie that I just finished…Now they’re going to see me and say I’m too fat because I’ve gained 10 pounds…I can’t win!” she said.
