Sofia Vergara is officially a Martha Stewart Weddings cover girl, and the Modern Family actress dished to People recently about her upcoming nuptials to fellow actor Joe Manganiello, saying she’ll definitely have the sweets covered after the ceremony.
Sofia says that the dessert table at her wedding will be epic, in part because she loves cakes and sweets. While she hasn’t given any details as to what the cake will look like, she definitely won’t be holding back when it comes time to have a bite.
“Cake is my favorite thing. So the cake table is going to be super special, a big wedding cake and lots of desserts,” Vergara said.
Sofia was a bridesmaid for a friend back in June and shared several photos on Instagram, including one of her tucking in to a big slice.
“It’s bad luck if you don’t eat wedding cake,” Vergara captioned the pic.
Vergara assured fans recently that even though she has her wedding day beauty routine down, it’s still going to take her a while to get ready, so we can expect a gorgeous look on the big day. But for her, it’s not about a huge party or a fancy dress; it’s more about the memories she will create with Joe and the time she’ll spend with her family.
“It’s about creating memories that you’re always going to cherish. That’s what’s important.”
Sofia Vergara made headlines recently with a legal battle at the hands of her ex-husband, Nick Loeb, who took her to court over custody of two frozen female embryos. The couple had the procedure done while they were married but allegedly had a written agreement that they both had to agree to fertilize them or keep them frozen. Loeb said that he wanted the chance to be a father, but Sofia spoke to Howard Stern in May about the situation and said that she wouldn’t go through with it.
“A child needs a loving relationship of parents that get along, that don’t hate each other,” Sofia Vergara told Stern.
