Snooki, also known in less dubious circles as Nicole Polizzi, is certainly no stranger to controversy. Since appearing in the MTV reality show “Jersey Shore”, Polizzi has seen her name in the tabloids on a fairly regular basis. Generally speaking, most of these stories were centered around her drunken behavior, events that have often led to endless ridicule at the hands of stand-up comedians and late-night talk show hosts alike. I wouldn’t want to be in her shoes.
Out of all the events which have occurred since her reality television debut, the one revelation she was scared to share with her father was something a little less deviant: her pregnancy. Despite the fact that her family has supported her through a number of very public ordeals, this particular bit of news was especially nerve-rattling.
Oh, I was scared to tell my dad, of course!” Snookie explained to People Magazine. “[My dad] is excited now. I think [my parents] are more excited than we are. “I’m their only child and this is going to be their [first] grandchild.”
If you’re the sort of individual who avoids reading tabloid headlines for fear of lowering your IQ, then this is probably news to you. All of this was covered at-length on the first episode of the “Jersey Shore” spin-off ““Snooki and JWoww”, which revealed a “secret” that Polizzi was reluctant to share with the world. Which, of course, was her pregnancy. So much for keeping the twist secret until the show’s premiere.
Regarding the relationship with her co-star Jenni “JWOWW” Farley, Snooki told Show Tracker that the two are still best friends. She added, “We’re real. We wanted to show our fans that we’re relatable and go through ups and downs. At the end of the day, we’re just like everybody else.”
Curious parties who are enthralled with the idea of seeing Snooki with child should tune into the aforementioned reality show, which currently airs on MTV.
