Sharna Burgess received a heartfelt, sincere thank you from Dancing With the Stars contestant Nick Carter prior to the DWTS finale on Tuesday. He even referred to his dance pro partner as a “goddess.”

Taking to social media, Nick thanked Sharna Burgess with an Instagram post.

“In the words of @carrieanninaba last night, I want to take a second and celebrate the goddess that @sharnaburgess is,” he wrote. “She deserves all the credit in the world for getting us this far. No matter what happens tonight Sharna, just know you are # 1. #sharnasquad #TEAMSHARNIC Voting closes in less than an hour so you know what to do #bsbarmy.”

As Dancing With the Stars fans no doubt know by now, Nick Carter and Sharna Burgess didn’t win that coveted mirror ball trophy on Tuesday night. That honor went to Bindi Irwin and Derek Hough. Bindi was favored to win since early in the competition.

Nick Carter and Sharna Burgess came in second place, however, with Alek Skarlatos and Lindsay Arnold coming in third.

There’s no question that Nick and Sharna gave it their all on the dance floor this season. Bindi Irwin was a force to reckon with, and one that clearly couldn’t be surpassed.
