Now that former Disney Channel star Selena Gomez is officially done and over with Justin Bieber, she has re-united with estranged bestie Taylor Swift. The girls are doing a lot of catching up and hanging out with a lot of giggling in between.

Gomez and Swift have not been seen together for months so their fans were in for a surprise treat when Gomez uploaded a video of them goofing around this past weekend.

The Instagram video, which was mainly of the moon with howling cayote sounds in the background, had the caption: “Guys, that happened in real life and not just in movies. Narration by: @taylorswift”

“What you are witnessing, actually hearing, is coyotes freaking out over a full moon. I didn’t know that was a real thing. I thought it was just a wolf thing.” Swift says in the vid with a dramatic voice. The video ended with a fit of giggles from both girls.

Gomez and Swift were longtime friends who went through rough times due to Gomez’s relationship with Beiber. Swift was not among the guests at Gomez’s 22^nd birthday party and people noted that Gomez wasn’t present for Swift’s house party on the Fourth of July either.

When the Gomez-Bieber relationship ended, Swift reportedly took the initiative to reach out to Gomez. She was said to be very supportive of Gomez and even offered a listening ear. It is said that Swift is also playing matchmaker and is now on the lookout for new guys for Gomez to date.

“She’s been trying to set Selena up with some really cool guys that she may be interested in,” according to a report.

Gomez was honored with the Ultimate Choice Award at the 2014 Teen Choice Awards, making her the youngest recipient of this award to date. The Come and Get It singer had already won many TCA awards in the past years, including Choice Female Hottie for many consecutive years. She dedicated this latest award to her mom with a special thank you for letting her do what she loves, and a message to fans telling them to love their moms.
