Sarah Hyland took to social media this week to wish a happy 18th birthday to her Modern Family costar Ariel Winter.

Ariel Winter had to work on her birthday, but Sarah Hyland, Sofia Vergara, and more of the Modern Family cast made sure she had a celebration on set.

Ariel Winter and Sarah Hyland are as close as sisters, and that’s no wonder. The two have played sisters on Modern Family since it first aired in 2009. Sarah Hyland plays the role of Haley Dunphy, with Ariel Winter in the role of Alex Dunphy.
Even though Ariel Winter had to work on her birthday, her Modern Family family members Sarah Hyland, Sofia Vergara, and more made sure they stopped to celebrate the momentous occasion–if only for a little while.
