Kevyn Smith and Jeremy Johnson's "social experiment in music" involves taking some of their favorite tweets and putting them to music - as in they make a song out of them. The project is called We Sing Your Tweets and they call these creations "sweets."

On their blog, you'll see that the duo picks a wide range of Twitter personalities to musicalize - from the less followed to Twitter superstars like comedian Patton Oswalt. Their latest episode of tweet-singing involves none other than the recently (well, always for some) maligned Rush Limbaugh.

Here are the Rush Limbaugh - focused tweets that Kevyn and Jeremy put to song:

Rush makes me ashamed to be a middleaged white man and Kirk Cameron makes me ashamed to be a failed actor. We don't all think like that NoH8 11 days ago via Twitter for iPhone ·  Reply ·  Retweet ·  Favorite · powered by @socialditto

Why isn't the MSM reporting that Rush's boss is.., MITT ROMNEY! Bain Capital (along w/ a prvt equity co) OWNS Clear Channel, Rush's network. 10 days ago via OpenBeak ·  Reply ·  Retweet ·  Favorite · powered by @socialditto

They put this Rush tweet to song as well - although it's not exactly about Rush Limbaugh (but it is about Rush):

Rush have teamed up w/ Jammit for access to original Rush multi-track masters w/versions for drums, bass, guitar & vox. 91 days ago via ·  Reply ·  Retweet ·  Favorite · powered by @socialditto

Without further ado, here's the song:

Smith, a web site designer, and Johnson, who works in the Institute for Systems Biology in Seattle, form the band Dave Hates Chico. Here's how We Sing Tweets came about:

We decided during a break from recording in the studio for our band, to write our own songs in 140 characters. Then we thought...what if we picked tweets we liked from people and made them into songs? Now 350 songs/videos later and over 51,000 site views and a bunch of new Twitter friends, we feel like we are onto something and are building something that makes people happy and that is something we are really passionate about. We hope to keep growing the site, with more content coming all the time.
