If you haven’t seen the classic Rosemary’s Baby, a satanic horror film released in the 60’s and directed by Roman Polanski, then you’re in for a treat.
NBC is officially releasing and airing its Rosemary’s Baby remake miniseries in May. The full cast of the show has been revealed in the first completed trailer, with Zoe Saldana‘s screams that might just send chills down your spine.
“You were chosen to be his mom,” says a mysterious benefactor to a pregnant Zoe Saldana. “By who?” she asks.
Nobody knows for certain, but that question is central to the new miniseries version of the film based on the famous novel by Ira Levin. Saldana plays Rosemary, whose already perfect life becomes too good to be true when her husband Guy, (Patrick J. Adams) suddenly strikes it rich and she then becomes pregnant.

The likeness to the original film is extremely similar, however the setting is Paris instead of New York, as NBC’s remake follows the original 1968 film plot about a young couple struggling to get pregnant, and how the resulting pregnancy drives Rosemary to extreme paranoia toward her neighbors and her husband, questioning their intentions for her baby.
The first two hours of the Rosemary’s Baby remake miniseries will air on Sunday, May 11 from 9:00 – 11:00 pm. with the second half of the four-hour miniseries airing in the same time slot on Thursday, May 15.
If it is anything like the 1968 classic, it is not to be missed, but leave the lights on!
