Sean Penn isn’t the only one who has found himself in a new relationship. His ex-wife Robin Wright had her rep confirm that she is now engaged to Ben Foster.
While attending the opening of Diane von Furstenberg’s Journey of a Dress exhibition in Los Angeles on Friday, Jan. 10, the House of Cards star was seen showing off her new engagement ring.
Wright was previously married to Dane Witherspoon from 1986-1988 and then to Sean Penn for 13 years. Wright and Penn have two children together and divorced in 2010. Wright and Foster co-starred together in the 2011 film Rampart, and then were rumored to be dating in 2012 after being seen at an Italian restaurant in Australia cuddled up together.
“Ben is a sweet guy and you don’t even notice the age difference,” a source close to Wright said. “He’s a lot more mild-mannered than Sean [Penn]. And Robin’s kids Dylan and Hopper like him and like seeing their mom happy.”
Wright was recently nominated for an Emmy award for her character Claire Underwood on Netflix’ House of Cards. Foster has also had recent success in the film industry. He starred in three successful films: Lone Survivor, Aint Them Bodies Saints and Kill Your Darlings, and he is currently working on a Lance Armstrong biopic, in which he plays Lance.
The second season of House of Cards premieres on Friday.
