It’s only a few weeks until the launch of Call of Duty: Blacks Ops II on November 13. Until then, Activision will be bombaring the Internet and television with ads for the latest blockbuster title. Much like Modern Warfare 3, Black Ops 2 will also receive a healthy dose of celebrity endorsements in the form of a live action trailer.
Unlike Modern Warfare 3, however, the Black Ops II live action trailer has even more star power than ever before. For starters, the ad was directed by Guy Ritchie, the man behind classics like Snatch and more recently, the Sherlock Holmes films starring Robert Downey Jr. Speaking of Tony Stark, Downey Jr. shows up in the trailer alongside other big stars like Jack Black and Zach Galifianakis.
Will all the star power be enough to convince those on the fence to buy into the latest Call of Duty? Hard to say at this point, but hype is at an all-time high. Treyarch, the game’s developer, is also doing some really interesting things in both the single player campaign and the multiplayer component.
Call of Duty: Black Ops II will launch on November 13 for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. It will also launch on the Wii U alongside the console’s launch on November 18.
