The BBC this week announced that British singer Rita Ora will be joining The Voice UK as a judge. Ora will be replacing Kylie Minogue, who was a judge on the show during season three.
The Voice UK is a popular televised talent show competition that airs on BBC One. It is based on a Dutch TV series that spawned Voice shows in dozens of countries including Sweden, South Korea, Brazil, Mexico, and the U.S. The U.S. version of The Voice began its seventh season this week featuring Adam Levine, Gwen Stefani, Pharrell Williams, and Blake Shelton as judges.
Ora conveyed her excitement for the new gig through social media, posting a pic of the announcement to her Twitter feed:

The BBC’s Voice UK Twitter account also welcomed Ora to the show with a vine debuting the singer’s new red chair:

Aside from Minogue, all of the judges from season three of The Voice UK will be returning next season. Ora will be joined on-stage by Ricky Wilson, will.i.am, and Sir Tom Jones.
Ora addressed her co-judges in another tweet this week. The singer was also welcomed to the show in a similar manner by Wilson and Jones:

The next season of The Voice UK is set to begin in January 2015. The blind rounds that Ora refers to are, according to the BBC, set to begin soon in Manchester, England.
