The actor who played Bill Cosby’s granddaughter in The Cosby Show has come forward to deny allegations that she was molested by the comedian. Raven Symone used Instagram to post a denial of circulating rumors that she had been molested by Cosby, who is currently facing multiple accusations of rape.

Symone posted a photo of herself from the show on Instagram, along with the caption, “I was NOT taking advantage of by Mr. Cosby when I was on the Cosby Show! I was practically a baby on that show and this is truly a disgusting rumor that I want no part of! Everyone on that show treated me with nothing but kindness. Now keep me out of this!”

The rumors that angered Symone originated from a questionable report on HipHipHangover.com, which calls itself “a gossip parody and satirical publication” on its website. The report alleged that Symone filed molestation charges against Cosby and even reported that the assault took place after the series finale in 1992 when Symone was six years old.

Symone is reportedly the first of Cosby’s co-stars to speak out about the comedian’s rape controversy, although she didn’t necessarily defend him. Several women have come forward to accuse Cosby of drugging and then raping them, the latest of whom is former supermodel Janice Dickinson.

Dickinson alleged that Cosby had raped her in 1982, which Cosby’s lawyer, Marty Singer, said was a lie. Concerning Dickinson saying she had been pressured to hide her sexual assault in her autobiography, No Lifeguard on Duty: The Accidental Life of the World’s First Supermodel, Singer said in a statement, “You can confirm with Harper Collins that she never claimed that Mr. Cosby raped her, that no attorney representing Bill Cosby tried to kill the story…and no one tried to prevent anything she wanted to say about Bill Cosby in her book. There is documentary proof that Janice Dickinson is fabricating and lying about Bill Cosby.”
