Rachel Platten is best known for her hit single, “Fight Song,” and it is that song she sang as a duet with a seven-year-old boy fighting cancer.
Jeremiah Succar–a patient at the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles–didn’t know Rachel Platten was coming to visit him in his hospital room. His parents knew how much he loved her song, however, and they sent out pleas via social media. Using the hashtag #RachelMeetJeremiah, the plea finally reached the “Fight Song” singer via Twitter.
She shared word of the surprise she was about to bestow upon Jeremiah via Twitter.
Driving right now to meet a very special someone…#rachelmeetjeremiah :))) I am so excited to hug you JEREMIAH!!!

“I’ve still got a lot of fight left in me,” Jeremiah told Rachel Platten at the end of their duet.
“The Greek was cool….but THIS was amazing. I love you Jeremiah, thanks for inspiring me and rocking out with me!!! #prayersforjeremiah #rachelmeetjeremiah,” Rachel Platten captioned a photo of her sitting with Jeremiah on his hospital bed.
Rachel Platten laughed when Jeremiah asked her a very special question.
“I have one question … can I have your autograph?” the seven-year-old asked.
Rachel Platten is a hit now–for her big heart as much as for her hit “Fight Song.”
She definitely made one very special little boy’s dream come true.
