When QVC guest host Cassie Slane had a fainting spell due to low blood-sugar, her experienced co-host kept right on talking as the cameras cut to a close-up of the product they were talking about, smoothing over the awkward moment.
Slane later reported on her Facebook page that she was feeling better, and QVC responded to posts from customers asking if she was alright, saying, “Our on-air guest Cassie had a brief fainting spell. We are pleased to report that she is feeling fine now.”
While Dan Hughes is receiving praise for his quick response on-air, there’s also been a lot of negative attention thrown his way via social media sites for making a product high-priority over the well-being of someone else.
