Prince Harry and Cressida Bonas have split up after dating for over 2 years. For months, sources close to the couple had said that they were talking marriage and making plans for the future. Although the breakup seems sudden, sources close to Prince Harry claim that he had been unhappy with the relationship for a while.

“He found her too needy and it just wasn’t working out,” said a source close to the prince.

Another source and mutual friend of the couple said that the breakup was amicable.

“It’s very sad but they have decided to split up,” the source said. “This is an amicable decision and they are very much still the best of friends but they have decided to go their separate ways.”

The couple seemed like a match made in heaven and although they were different in many ways, they seemed to bring out the best in each other. Cressida had even recently made her first appearance at a public event with the prince.

In spite of how good their relationship appeared, rumors that it wouldn’t last have been swirling for months. Cressida is a free spirit and many people feared that she would not be right for the royal family. Others defended her by saying that she was good for the serious prince and that she knew how to act like a lady when necessary.

Both Cressida and Harry are hoping that they will be able to deal with the breakup in private, but it is not likely that the media will leave them alone.

While the breakup shocked many, it also excited a lot of ladies.

Cressida is looking forward to concentrating on her career and Prince Harry will soon be busy with the Invictus Games.

Hopefully the couple will be able to stay friends and enjoy being single without the media interfering too much or asking too many questions.
