Pinterest user traffic has been growing at a very fast pace as of late, and the social photo-sharing service shows no signs of slowing down. Interesting stats include a user base being 80% female, and that Pinterest is the 24th most popular site in the U.S. The site grew from 7.2 million users, up from 1.2 million, in 4 months.
Not surprisingly, Facebook refers the vast majority of Pinterest users. There has been speculation about whether or not Pinterest is just a new, cool thing that projects a faux exclusivity, and that all of its buzz and traffic will wane with time. Or, it is actually a good tool for vendors to trump up interest?
